Pickaresque is a Los Angeles-based film production company with roots in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. The company produces artistic genre films with an unimpeachable brand of top-flight world film festivals.
NATURE is an
erotic thriller about a young couple and their quest to rediscover their sexual fervor. After a
failed experiment with role-playing, they decide to take a weeklong, sex-centered camping trip
in the woods, only to be stalked by a drifter. In the climax, the drifter attacks the couple,
but they end up killing him. This turns out to be the thing that restores the passion to the
couple's sex life. The epilogue reveals that the murder was only a temporary solution.
The film is set in the majestic forests of the western slope of Mount Hood, as well as
Portland. We have secured 33% of the financing needed for principal photography. Shooting
will take place the last two weeks of September 2009, on location in the Mount Hood National
Forest, as well as some stage shooting in Portland and/or Los Angeles. Ryan Harper Gray, who
has starred in films that have premiered at Venice and other leading international film festivals,
will play the male lead. An international casting search is underway for the lead actress.
Writer/director/actor Jeff Pickett's first film, THE SKYJACKER, premiered in Rotterdam, was
in competition at Austin, Warsaw and, soon, Siberia and will be released on DVD in 2009.

JEFF PICKETT
Founder of Pickaresque, Jeff was born
and raised in Portland, Oregon. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in film studies from
Yale University and a Master of Fine Arts degree in film production from the University of
Southern California. Jeff has worked in television and independent film for 5 years. Credits
as a writer, director, producer and/or actor include: MYmuddledME (2008), The Skyjacker
(2008), Such Great Joy (2005), and Snackers (2004).
MOLLY BROWN
Molly and Jeff met in Los Angeles when
Jeff directed a documentary of an event that Molly was producing. They went on to form Pickaresque.
Molly's recent film credits include producing The Skyjacker (2008), which premiered at International
Film Festival Rotterdam.
